Here’s the aftermath of the meditation session I held last night. I go through ups and downs with my practice, such that sometimes I’ll enjoy a phase in which I diligently carve out time for a bit of meditation every day…while other times, I’ll scrub it from my schedule in favor of other, arguably less beneficial diversions.
I can honestly say, though, that I tend to feel better in general during the more diligently meditative intervals. There’s a joke I like to repeat about this, and will do so here again: “You should meditate every day for at least 30 minutes. Unless you don’t have time. In which case, make it an hour…”
